At the beginning of this year, we set out to open our third Gravel Lane Design showroom, this time in Mahomet, Illinois. Our designer, Katie, is currently a Mahomet resident and wanted to help bring the Gravel Lane Design experience closer to home. The goal of this showroom is to serve our clients in the Champaign-Urbana area and eliminate the need to drive an hour to the Eureka showroom.

Thankfully, we found a great location off East Main Street in Mahomet and got to work on renovating the space. We wanted to showcase our custom cabinetry and countertops, as well as house plenty of samples to sift through. The space is designed as a comfortable and creative environment for clients and designers to collaborate on custom home designs.

While our Mahomet location is new this year, we’re not new to the interior design industry. We’ve been operating out of Eureka, IL, since 2017 and just recently opened a second location in Peoria. As you enter the Mahomet showroom, you are greeted with a cozy sitting area to your right and various countertop samples to your left. We have both natural stone and engineered countertop options, with plenty of options to fit a variety of styles and budgets. No need to worry about standard sizing for your countertops; we offer custom countertops, meaning that whatever material you choose will be custom-made for your home based on laser measurements taken on site.

Moving further into the space, you’ll find our collection of custom cabinetry door samples, with both painted and stained options. Not only can you customize the color of your cabinetry, but also the door style, overlay, storage inserts, and dimensions. If that seems exciting yet overwhelming, not to worry, as we offer custom design services where a designer will walk you through each step so you can move forward confidently. We can even order custom door samples so you can see for yourself what your design choices look like before committing to a whole kitchen full of cabinetry.

Our Mahomet showroom kitchen allows clients to see for themselves what our custom cabinetry looks like installed. This kitchen features both painted and stained cabinetry, as well as both quartz and natural quartzite countertops. With fun features like reeded details, glass doors, and custom storage features, it serves as an example of the full potential you can reach with a custom kitchen. Clients should feel free to explore this space, open cabinets, feel the different countertop materials, and visualize which features they may want for their own kitchen.

Sliding through the double glass door, you’ll find the office space, featuring a stunning custom desk topped off with Avohai Quartzite. The custom built-ins also house more samples, such as tile, fabric, and hardware. The two-toned cabinetry also showcases gorgeous cut-out details and painted wicker doors.

This is where a lot of the design magic happens, as our design team creates cabinet elevations, 3D design renderings, and sources materials for clients. When you work with one of our designers, you get the full-service design experience.

Through the office space, you’ll find the breakroom kitchen as well as the bathroom, both featuring more cabinetry, of course! Our designer, Katie, designed this entire showroom to reflect touches of her personal design style while incorporating popular design features. She strived to ensure the final product felt both current and timeless.
